New Year Exception?

I have never been one for New Year Resolutions, but this year, I might make an exception, because there are a few things at the forefront of my mind that I simply cannot ignore:

1). I need to find a way to make sure the way I choose to make a living still makes me feel alive. That I go into it each day with an attitude that makes me happy to be there, to learn something new, & teach someone else a thing or two.

2). I need to find an outlet in terms of writing. Whether it be a private journal, a dabble in blogging, &/or a short story or two. I have so much that just floats around in my brain; it can only be healthier to get it out &, Lord knows, I like to write “novels” whenever I write — just ask anyone who has known me for any length of time! ūüėČ

3). I need to continue to make progress in getting my financial & home life in order. Knowing that my handsome man is also counting on me to NOT go backwards in this regard is part of motivation because I love & respect him so much, but there’s still so much to be done.

4). I almost wasn’t going to list it, (because, to me, it is a “given”), but I need to find steady & positive ways to continue to grow my relationship with my sons, as they are not getting any younger, (nor am I). Besides, I can’t help but think of what I thought when I had an absent parent growing up. I need my sons to know NOW that my heart is in the right place even I couldn’t always physically be there.

In MY true form, I need to throw in a “disclaimer” of sorts here by saying that I reserve the right to modify &/or add to this list as time goes on… Life isn’t all in “black & white,” afterall. More to come later… ūüėČ
